Kavadi poojai for Maasi Thiruvizha started today around Eraniel Temples

கன்யாகுமாரி மாவட்டத்தில் இருந்து திருச்செந்தூர் சுப்ரமணிய ஸ்வாமி கோவில் மாசி திருவிழாகாக இரணியல் மற்றும் அதன் சுற்று வட்டார பகுதிகளில் இருந்து காவடி கெட்டி கொண்டு செல்வது வழக்கம் . இந்த வருடமும் அதற்க்காக காவடிக்கள் இன்று முதல் மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு பூஜைக்கு வைக்க பட்டன.

Kavadi kattu Function for 2017 in Eraniel , Kanyakumari District is going to be held on March 01.

Kavadi Attam (காவடி ஆட்டம்) Burden Dance is a ceremonial sacrifice and offering practiced by devotees during the worship of Lord Murugan. In the southern part of India, Tamilnadu  is a well know worship place for Lord Murugan. Here only Lord Muruga's Six Abodes known as Arupadi Veedu. Of them Thiruchendur is a famous temple at Thoothukudi District near to the shore.

Devotees from various place come here. But from the southern part of India , Kanyakumari district people carry Kavadi for Maasi thiruvila.

When the flag hosted at Thiruchendur for Maasi thiruvila, here devotees from Eraniel, Thingalnagar, colachel, Manavalakurichi, Thiruvananthapuram and there surrounding areas will conduct the Kavadi Kettu function. 

This year this function is going to be held on March 1st 2017. 

So all are welcome to this fest and get the blessing of Lord Murugan...
